About Us

Pink Lady Sweets was started in 2013. I had lost my dad to cancer in early 2010 and it shook me to the core. I thought about all of the things that he had wanted to do but never finished doing. It really put life into perspective for me. It made me think of what I have wanted to do in my life, dreams that I had that I needed to fulfill. I grew up in a family that not only loved sweets but loved making sweets. Some of my fondest memories are of my Grandpa Charlie and my Grandma Patricia. They would make easter egg shaped candy and sell them. Everyone loved them. It was a family affair too, everyone would help out with different parts of making it. I remember my Mammy Ruth making big trays of cookies around Christmas time. That was always a special treat, she'd work hard a day in advance making all different varieties of cookies. I began to think about starting a sweets company selling a variety of things. I have always loved cooking and baking for people to enjoy. One of my first items I sold was my buckeyes. This was an homage to my Grandpa Charlie. He would make me a batch every time I came home to visit.
